Ryshel suffers from retinoblastoma
Ryshelis, 2yrs old, from Bicol, is afflicted with retinoblastoma. RetinoBlastoma is a tumor, mostly malignant, arising from the nuclear layer of the retina that is the most commonprimary tumor of the eye in children. The tumor tends to occur in early childhood infancy and may be present at birth. The majority are sporadic, but the condition may be transmitted as an autosomal dominant trait.”1
Autosomal is one of several ways that a trait, disorder, or disease can be passed down through families.
Her father, Reynante Dipad, 31 yrs. old, a laborer, having P150/day income, came to our office and told us of their economic difficulties.

Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko Foundation, is engaged, under the sponsorship of SM Foundation, and with the help and support of a US-based neurosurgeon, Dr. Manny Cacdac, in doing shunting missions at various hospitals like Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Jose Reyes Medical Center, Philippine Heart Center, Pasig Genreal Hospital, Ospital ng Maynila, and the most recent, World Citi Medical Center, in May-June, 2010. Dr. Joel Navarro, an accredited neurosurgeon of World Citi and Jose Reyes Medical Center, has joined the team of doctors involved in the mission. The babies with hydrocephalus come to our office, at Kapwa Ko Mahal Ko, GMA7 Kapuso Center, ad infinitum from remote provinces, like Isabela, from far north, and down south, Surigao, to seek our assistance for the immediate operation of their hydrocephalic baby. We’ve had a case of baby’s head circumference of 96 centimeters.
